Training Tip of the Week

A Cure for Cinchiness

This article is taken directly out of John Lyons' "Perfect Horse".

In this article John explains how to stop a horse from being cinchy and also how to start a horse with out causing cinchiness.

I have a 17 year old heeling horse. I got him just a little over a year ago. From day one this horse has been very cinchy. He has even laid himself down because of his cinchiness. I have used this technique on him with excellent results. After only twice he has become almost totally calm while being saddled. I encourage everyone to read this article.
